STEPS
PREP
Heat your water separately until hot, but not boiling. Fill the bottom chamber with water to just below the safety valve.
GRIND
Grind your coffee medium-fine — finer than drip coffee, but slightly coarser than espresso.
FILL
Fill the filter basket completely with ground coffee. Level the coffee gently, but do not tamp.
ASSEMBLE
Place the basket into the bottom chamber and carefully screw the Moka Pot together. The base may be hot, so use a towel if needed.
BREW
Place the Moka Pot over medium-low heat with the lid open. The coffee should begin flowing slowly and steadily into the upper chamber.
REMOVE
Once the stream begins to lighten in color and starts to sputter, remove the Moka Pot from the heat. Avoid letting it aggressively boil or sputter for too long.
ENJOY
Give the coffee a quick stir before pouring to evenly combine the brew. Serve immediately and enjoy.
