STEPS
HEAT + PREP
Heat your water to 200°F. Preheat your French Press with hot water, then discard the water.
GRIND
Grind 30-35g (depending on desired strength) of coffee coarse — similar in texture to coarse sea salt. Add the coffee to the French Press.
POUR
Start your timer and pour 500g of water evenly over the coffee, making sure all of the grounds are saturated.
STIR
After 1 minute, Give the coffee a gentle stir to break up any dry spots and make sure everything is evenly saturated.
STEEP
Place the lid on the French Press without pressing the plunger down. Let the coffee steep for 4 minutes.
PRESS
At 4:00, slowly and gently press the plunger all the way down. Avoid pressing too quickly or forcing the plunger.
SERVE
Pour the coffee out of the French Press immediately to prevent over-extraction. Swirl and enjoy.
