STEPS
GRIND
Grind 100g of coffee coarse — similar in texture to coarse sea salt.
ADD COFFEE
Add the ground coffee to your brewing vessel.
ADD WATER
Slowly pour 1,000g of filtered water over the coffee, making sure all of the grounds are fully saturated.
STIR
Give the mixture a gentle stir to break up any dry pockets.
STEEP
Cover and let steep for 12–16 hours in the refrigerator. For a stronger brew, steep toward the longer end of the range.
FILTER
Strain the cold brew through a paper filter, cold brew filter, or fine mesh strainer. Avoid pressing or squeezing the grounds, which can add bitterness.
ENJOY
Serve over ice and enjoy. If the brew tastes too strong, dilute with a small amount of filtered water or milk to taste.
